PERIPHERIE The Institute for Practical Gender Research, was founded in 2000. It
is cooperatively borne by an interdisciplinary team of social scientists. Research
offers and topics of the institute vary according to the expertise and fields
of interest of its staff. The common principles and objectives of the research,
however, are its gender perspective, practical orientation, interdisciplinarity
